Broken or Not Broken?

Futbol with the local Mayan village can get rough.

I've been playing soccer with the Casa Guatemala teachers (team Casa) and the Mayan village of Brisas (team Brisas).  It's definitely an interesting type of futbol.  We play on a field that is more or less, more less than more, even.  Mud is a common defense.  And the latino "machismo" is part of their playing style. Let me explain.  Normal futbol is played by passing the ball around to your teammates in order to open up space on the field which, would enable one to score a goal.  Casa vs Brisas futbol is played by kicking the ball as hard as MANNLY possible from one goal to the next, hoping with some luck someone may get hit by the ball and it goes into the goal. The End.

So I can at least say that I'm climbing the social ladder by holding it down on the futbol field.
